If you know me well, you know that I LOVE giving and receiving Christmas cards. So much so that they usually stay on display long after Christmas season is over. There is just something special about your friends taking the time to show you they are thinking about you over what is probably the busiest time of the year!
With that said, I am always looking for fun and new ways to display them. In the past I have either taped them to a door or cupboard or hung them on my refrigerator. This year I wanted something more decorative, and something that did not involve tape or sticky tack.
Here is what I came up with…..
This is an item that was already part of my everyday decor. It is rather tall and looked like it would hold quite a few Christmas cards!
Next I went out and bought a small bag of clothespins from Hobby Lobby, pinned them to the tree, and VOILA……
I really LOVE it! It is decorative and SUPER EASY! Better yet, you also don’t have to worry about any tape or sticky tack ruining your cards!
Note: If you are wanting to know where I bought the vase and stems, they were also purchased at Hobby Lobby. I have also seen similar arrangements at Michaels, Target, and random decor shops around town.
UPDATE: This year I decided to add yet another super simple, yet creative way to display your Christmas cards.
Here it is….
This is basically an empty frame, chicken wire, a few staples, and any decorative paper you may or may not want to add. I really LOVE how it looks!
Here is a link on how to make one.
I hope this inspires you to get creative with displaying your Christmas cards! In a future post I plan to tell you what I do with the cards after I take them down…. So stay tuned!
Beautiful!!! I’ll be on the look out for some vase and stems for my house……I LOVE how that turned out!!
